- We Stand With Community Placards (8.5" x 11") - These placards are great to hang up in cubicles, windows, walls, and doors to show support for the community. We currently carry these placards for the Inclusive Rainbow Flag, Transgender Flag, Bisexual Flag, and Pansexual Flag; all of the placards also display text reading "We Stand With Community" across the center and are branded with the rainbow County seal.

The Q Corner is a peer-driven, Behavioral Health Services Department program dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and their friends, families, and allies, in Santa Clara County. This safe, welcoming, and affirming team is committed to making community services and resources available to everyone.
For Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning as well as ally youth and young adults ages 13 to 25 who live in Santa Clara County. The LGBTQ Youth Space offers counseling services, social and leadership opportunities, community outreach and education and a safe and welcoming drop-in center.
LGBTQ Wellness supports the mental health of LGBTQ community members and allies by providing outreach, education, and advocacy services. LGBTQ wellness serves diverse, multigenerational LGBTQ communities throughout Santa Clara County with a vision to build an affirmative culture.
The Bill Wilson Drop-in Center in downtown San Jose helps homeless at-risk youth, ages 12 – 22, by providing basic necessities such as food, clothing, and personal hygiene items. The program also provides more comprehensive services including counseling, living skills training, job readiness training, housing assistance, health education (including HIV prevention) and links to other services, such as access to legal services and health care.
Outlet empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth ages 13-18 living in the Peninsula and South Bay through support services, leadership training, community education and advocacy.
Valley Homeless Healthcare Program - Gender Clinic is a safe place for transgender, non-binary and gender diverse people experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County. The Gender Clinic respects all aspects of people and are dedicated to providing warm, compassionate care to everyone. You can be seen in the clinic if you are experiencing homelessness and identify as transgender/ gender non-binary/ gender diverse.
Services Include:
- Primary care
- Hormones and referrals, as needed and desired
- Trans-affirmative gynecological care as needed and desired
- Sexually transmitted infection and HIV testing and treatment
- PrEP and PEP (the medicines that prevent HIV)

The GLSEN 2017 National School Climate Survey is our flagship report on the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth in our nation’s schools. Our report includes information on LGBTQ middle and high school students’ experiences with discrimination, biased language, and availability and utility of supportive school resources.
GLSEN Safe Space Toolkit is designed to help you create a safe space for LGBTQ youth in schools, the Safe Space Kit is GLSEN’s Guide to Being an Ally to LGBTQ Students. The guide provides concrete strategies that will help you support LGBTQ students, educate about anti-LGBTQ bias, and advocate for changes in your school. The kit not only guides you through making an assessment of your school's climate, policies, and practices but it also outlines strategies that you may use to advocate for change, including posting a Safe Space Sticker or Safe Space Poster in your classroom or office.
Creating Safe and Welcoming Schools: A project of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation is a comprehensive, LGBT-inclusive guide to improving school climate with tools and resources that help school communities embrace family diversity, create gender-inclusive environments, and prevent bias-based bullying and name-calling in K-5 environments.
HRC Foundation and the University of Connecticut released the 2018 LGBTQ Youth Report largest-of-its-kind survey ever of more than 12,000 LGBTQ teenagers across the nation from ages 13 to 17, revealing in distressing detail the persistent challenges so many of them face going about their daily lives at home, at school and in their communities. It found that teenagers are experiencing heartbreaking levels of stress, anxiety and rejection, and overwhelmingly feel unsafe in their own school classrooms. LGBTQ young people who participated in the survey also made crystal clear that supportive families and inclusive schools are key to their success and well-being.
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) youth and those perceived as LGBTQ are at an increased risk of being bullied. Bullying puts youth at increased risk for depression, suicidal ideation, misuse of drugs and alcohol, risky sexual behavior, and can affect academics as well. For LGBTQ youth, that risk is even higher. Stop Bullying: LGBTQ Youth is a resource provides statistics as well as more information about how to create a safe environment for LGBTQ Youth.
Stop Bullying: Build a Safe Environment states that a safe and supportive school climate that can help prevent bullying. Safety starts in the classroom. Students should also feel and be safe everywhere on campus—in the cafeteria, in the library, in the rest rooms, on the bus, and on the playground. Everyone at school can work together to create a climate where bullying is not acceptable. This resource provides information on how to build these safe environments for students.

Santa Clara Trans Family Support Network is a peer-led group which provides support for the parents of trans youth and adults. It is a safe and respectful environment. TransFamilies of Silicon Valley is a welcoming community of families with transgender and gender-creative children up and down the San Francisco Peninsula and throughout the South Bay. They hold monthly playgroups for families with young children, social events for family members of all ages, and an active online group for 24/7 parent and guardian support. Some other offerings include resources and referrals, advocacy, education consulting and public speakers.

Silicon Valley Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. It all started back in 1975 as a gay rights rally and evolved into San Jose Pride Festival in 1976. The following year, 1977 San Jose added its first parade to the celebration. In 2014 San Jose Pride was changed to Silicon Valley Pride to include neighboring cities to encourage unity. It is now the largest Pride celebration of the South Bay and is a family friendly event. That is 44 years of honoring and celebrating our rights to choose whom we love and spend our lives with! The LGBTQ+ movement has been built on the backs of people who have fought hard for equality and progression. We choose to honor those individuals and those whom we’ve lost. It is important, now more than ever, to make our voices heard and to celebrate our diversity! We will not be pushed aside and we will not be erased!

The San Mateo County Pride Center provides a broad range of services to LGBTQ+ individuals, partners, and families of all ages, with specialized programming for youth and older adults. The Pride Center is unique in that it combines direct mental health services with social and educational programming both at the Pride Center and in the community.
The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center is dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, our families and allies, by providing educational, social, health and wellness related activities, programs and services.
Through collaboration and unity, the Billy DeFrank LGBTQ Community Center strives to provide a diverse platform for our community to meet, learn, be challenged and grow. It offers many support groups, community events, and other helpful information about LGBTQ resources.
Avenidas is a community-based nonprofit in Palo Alto, whose mission is to help older adults in our community be as active, engaged, and healthy as possible throughout their lives by providing relevant services and programs. Avenidas launched their LGBTQ Seniors Initiative which includes an expansion of services and new services, particularly within the areas of socialization and health education/cultural competency. For Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning as well as ally youth and young adults ages 13 to 25 who live in Santa Clara County. The LGBTQ Youth Space offers counseling services, social and leadership opportunities, community outreach and education and a safe and welcoming drop-in center.
The Bill Wilson Drop-in Center in downtown San Jose helps homeless at-risk youth, ages 12 – 22, by providing basic necessities such as food, clothing, and personal hygiene items. The program also provides more comprehensive services including counseling, living skills training, job readiness training, housing assistance, health education (including HIV prevention) and links to other services, such as access to legal services and health care.
Outlet empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth ages 13-18 living in the Peninsula and South Bay through support services, leadership training, community education and advocacy.
TransFamilies of Silicon Valley is a welcoming community of families with transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive children of all ages up and down the San Francisco Peninsula and throughout the South Bay. Transgender Gender-Variant and Intersex Justice Project is a group of transgender, gender variant, and intersex people—inside and outside of prisons, jails and detention centers—creating a united family in the struggle for survival and freedom.
PFLAG San Jose (Parents and Friends of Lesbian and Gays) is the local chapter of the family and ally organization PLAG. PLAG is made up of 400 chapters and 200,000 members are committed to providing peer support, education, and advocacy.
Valley Homeless Healthcare Program - Gender Clinic is a safe place for transgender, non-binary and gender diverse people experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County. The Gender Clinic respects all aspects of people and are dedicated to providing warm, compassionate care to everyone. You can be seen in the clinic if you are experiencing homelessness and identify as transgender/ gender non-binary/ gender diverse.
Services Include:
- Primary care
- Hormones and referrals, as needed and desired
- Trans-affirmative gynecological care as needed and desired
- Sexually transmitted infection and HIV testing and treatment
- PrEP and PEP (the medicines that prevent HIV)
- Mental health support and evaluation, as needed and desired
- Substance use support and treatment, as needed and desired
- Social support and housing services, as needed and desired
